The Association Of Retired Military Musicians was founded in September 1986 in Augusta, Georgia when several Army Band retirees decided to get together and "relive old times." This first "reunion" was a success and word soon spread.       Soon we began to receive inquiries from others, including our fellow Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force musicians. ARMM continues to serve as a vital venue for continued social contact with fellow retirees and active duty bandspersons.       For over two decades we have strived to preserve our proud military band history and military music traditions. Many of our bands have been deactivated, leaving a potential void in military band history.       ARMM endeavors to maintain contact with one another and preserve our history.
